Let’s go Flying!

Ashlyn's Business works Aviation Program
Our Mission:
Ashlyn’s Business Works was founded with the vision of providing teammates with unique, hands-on learning experiences that go beyond traditional education.
One of the core pillars of our program is aviation, fulfilling the founders' wishes for students to have the opportunity to achieve something extraordinary: soloing an airplane at age 16.

Ages 7-10
Aviation Fundamentals: Introduction to basic aviation concepts like aerodynamics, navigation, and weather.
Flight Simulators: Students gain hands-on experience with flight simulators to build familiarity with controls and concepts.
Model Building & Drone Piloting: Students start with small projects like building model airplanes or flying drones to understand the principles of flight.

Ages 11-13
In-depth Aviation Theory: Focus on the FAA’s private pilot knowledge areas: aircraft systems, aerodynamics, weather, navigation, and flight planning.
Flight Simulators (Advanced): More advanced training with simulators to simulate real-world scenarios and emergencies.
Field Trips: Visiting local airports, flight schools, and air shows to experience aviation firsthand.

Ages 14-16
Introductory Flights: Students can take their first lessons with certified flight instructors.
Log Flight Hours: Partnering with local flight schools to help students begin logging the required flight hours for solo.
FAA Written Exam Preparation: Prepare students for the written exam they’ll need to take before soloing.

Solo flight!
Solo the Airplane: Students who meet the requirements and wish to continue will complete their first solo flight under the supervision of a certified instructor.
